<p>Reports To:</p> <p>Maintenance, Group Leader.</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Employee performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings and equipment. Work involves primary responsibility for proficiency in several trades, with working conditions and the degree of supervision exercised difference according to the location and nature of assignments.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>STEP 1</p> <ul> <li>Must know all Safety Requirements, Departmental and Plant Wide. </li><li>Must be able to maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment. </li><li>Must be able to complete required departmental paper work. Have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order system. </li><li>Must be able to locate all Equipment in any building by Cost Center and Asset No. </li><li>Must be able to identify all Plant utilities and know their point of origin. </li><li>Must know proper operation of overhead crane with light and heavy loads. </li><li>Must be knowledgeable Forklift Operator, trained and certified by Safety Department </li><li>Technician must know how to use Meter and Amp. Clamp to check Electrical circuits. </li><li>Must also be able to do Electrical repairs such as receptacles, lighting, check blown fuses, coils and heater circuits. </li><li>Must also know how to wire motor starters and heater circuits. </li></ul> <p>STEP 2</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to operate all Line Assembly Equipment. </li><li>Must be able to spot potential problems with Equipment and repair it. </li><li>Must be able to remove and rebuild Multistage Hydraulic and Pneumatic Pumps, valves and cylinders. </li><li>Must have Mechanical and Electrical ability to complete all task on P.M. work orders for Assembly Line Equipment. </li></ul> <p>STEP 3</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work in Control Panels on KPM's and Injection Mold Machines with the ability to remove and repair all motor starters, breakers and related wiring. </li><li>Technician must be able to bring KPM and Injection Mold Machine up and have it ready to operate from cold start. </li><li>Must know proper procedure for disassembly and repair of Rodless Air Cylinders. </li><li>Must know how to identify pre-fill Valve trouble on KPM. </li><li>Must know how to adjust and Check Hydraulic Pressures for Press on KPM. </li></ul> <p>STEP 4</p> <ul> <li>Must have strong Electronic knowledge able to repair Sonic Welders, Power Supplies. </li><li>Must know how to repair and rebuild, High Pressure Cylinders, Check Valve Assembly, Booster Pumps, for Water Jet Cutting Equipment. </li><li>Must be able to use lap top computer and hand held programmer to check equipment problems. </li><li>Must know how to read Schematics, Blue Prints on all Equipment. </li><li>Must have the ability to run Conduit, Water, Air and Gas screw type piping. </li><li>Must know proper operation of Cooling Tower's, and proper test and water procedures. </li><li>Must know proper start up and operation procedures for Air Compressors and Dryers. </li></ul> <p>STEP 5</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to off load Equipment from Truck. </li><li>Must be able to perform Machine Setup, Leveling and Anchoring. </li><li>Must know how to size wire, breaker to run Conduit, Air and Cooling to Equipment. </li><li>Must know proper operation of all Welding and Cutting Equipment, Mig, Tig, Stick and Acetylene Torch. </li></ul> <p>STEP 6</p> <ul> <li>Must have a complete understanding of Fire Pump House, Sprinkler Risers and Alarms. </li><li>Must also know operation of Emergency Generators, and what utilities are on Emergency Circuits </li><li>Technician must be able to respond to any Emergency situations ready to carry out specific orders. </li><li>Must be able to handle assigned Equipment on Emergency Response List. </li><li>Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School education or GED. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2 -3 years on the job experience. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices used in electrical or mechanical areas. </li><li>Ability to interface and work from sketches and prints. </li><li>Must be able to detect defects in machinery and equipment and make proper repairs or adjustments. </li></ul> <p>Training - specific to placement into position</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are exclusive standards of the position.</p> <p>Incumbents will follow any other instruction, and perform any other related duties, as may be required by their supervisor.</p>
