<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Intern provides technical support to and under the direction of the HR Generalist. An Intern's primary obligation is to learn HR Administrator duties such as maintaining employee records and supporting employment eligibility verification processes. Additionally, the Intern may assist in personnel file management, employee wellness and recognition programs, and the coordination of company events, training sessions, and other HR administrative tasks, as assigned.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and maintain employment eligibility verification records using Tracker I-9, including auditing forms for accuracy and compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with organizing and maintaining personnel and other confidential employee files</p> </li><li> <p>Support the coordination of company events, training sessions, and team-building activities</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with and promote employee wellness initiatives, including the Navigate program</p> </li><li> <p>Support the administration of employee recognition programs, including awards and service anniversaries</p> </li></ol> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Effective written and oral communication skills are required. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks are critical. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office Suite are required. Fundamental understanding of human resources practices, including employee records management and compliance processes, is desired. Ability to maintain confidentiality, ensure accuracy in documentation, and support HR administrative functions is important. An ability to use independent judgment, be self-starting, and interact well with others is extremely important.</p> <p>Educational and experience requirements include: 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field in progress. Experience or knowledge of HR processes, employee relations, or administrative support is helpful.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Position is performed in an office or jobsite trailer environment. Position may require traversing irregular or uneven project site to access jobsite office. Personnel must have the ability to lift and carry small packages and material items in their work.</p> <p>It is the policy of HDCCo to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination.
