<p>Posting Number: 20255573V Position Title: STOVS-Program Assistant Posting Type Temp/Intern Hours/week: 40 hours Eligibility: Work study preferred but open to all students Semester 2025 Summer Location Alumni Hall Detailed Work Schedule</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Staff Rounds 8:30am - 10am </li><li>Staff Planning & Setup (1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.) </li><li>Workshops (3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m.) </li><li>Study Hall: Monday through Friday (4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.) </li><li>Evening activities (7-9:00 p.m.) </li><li>Flexibility in coming in earlier and leaving later, as needed </li><li>Punctuality expected at all meetings, classes, and events </li></ul> <p>Number of positions: 3 Department: 706 - Diversity Blueprint Contact Name: Marquis Coates Contact Phone/Extension: 610-519-4096</p> <p>Position Summary Information</p> <p>Job Description Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Provide assistance to students with classes as needed </li><li>Coordinate student activities and preparation for STOVS. </li><li>Assist students in study hall through one-on-one mentoring (Mon-Fri afternoons between 4:30-6:30 p.m.). </li><li>Meet with students to discuss goal-setting, healthy habits, and academic confidence. </li><li>Assist with evening social and learning activities to maximize student engagement </li><li>Offer support to students who are struggling with course work, or who need assistance with their acclimation to Villanova </li><li>Attend and participate in planning and feedback meetings. </li><li>Provide updates to STOVS director and professors regarding student concerns and needs. </li><li>Serve as lead counselors in supervising students and overseeing overnight program counselors </li><li>Serve as liaison for STOVS Director between counselors, students, and staff and ensure administrative and program tasks are completed as assigned. </li><li>Be available for student questions and concerns via email throughout the program. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of student development theory </li><li>Ability to provide supportive and constructive feedback to students </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills to relate easily & effectively with students and staff </li><li>Knowledge of issues of difference in higher education, particularly educational equity </li><li>Proven ability to use MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat </li><li>Possess traits of good judgment and maturity that align with the University's mission </li><li>Will be required to work evenings throughout the duration of the program </li><li>Employment subject to satisfactory background check </li></ul> <p>Additional Information: Physical Demands Summary: Wage Rate: $11.25</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Closing Date (11:59pm ET): Open Until Filled Yes</p>
