Our engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and code to our own platform and to other partner teams.</p> <p>Our Opportunity:</p> <p>As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Pet Health development team, you will build a robust, resilient, and scalable platform. You will own components of a platform and lead the design and implementation of end-to-end features using both backend and frontend technologies. You will collaborate with product owners to craft architecture based on product requirements, breaking features into small work units and ensuring high-quality production-ready code using modern CI/CD processes.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Design, build, deploy, and scale major platform components, microservices, and front-end features. </li><li>Implement and maintain adaptable and dynamic user interfaces using React and JavaScript. </li><li>Implement enterprise design and coding standards. </li><li>Build a culture of innovation through rapid prototyping and continuous delivery to production. </li><li>Actively participate in scrum ceremonies, including grooming, planning, demos, and retrospectives. </li><li>Guide and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-quality code through design and code reviews. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of programming experience with Java and backend frameworks like Spring Boot. </li><li>Proficient in frontend technologies, including JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS. </li><li>Validated experience working with modern SQL/NoSQL databases. </li><li>Shown understanding of algorithms and data structures. </li><li>Confirmed experience supplying to high-performance, scalable systems. </li><li>Ability to think independently and break down product requirements into well-defined tasks. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent work experience. </li></ul> <p>Bonus</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS. </li><li>Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration. </li><li>Experience with Node.js for server-side development. </li><li>Experience in developing software for the medical or healthcare industry. </li><li>Familiarity with working in distributed teams across time zones. </li></ul> <p>#LI-SA2</p>
