<p>SALARY</p> <p>Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Wicomico County Salary Scale for Administrators and Supervisors. Includes employee benefits package.</p> <p>HOURS</p> <p>Full time position, 12 months, 260 days</p> <p>Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit II bargaining unit for Administrators and Supervisors.</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Hold or be eligible for the MSDE Certificate with Administrator I</p> <p>At least three (3) years of successful teaching experience</p> <p>Related experiences in Career & Technology Education (CTE)</p> <p>Thorough knowledge of the state and national curriculum standards for career and technology programs</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, and community members, including parents and business/industry personnel</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Possess knowledge of Maryland's Blueprint and Perkins Legislation</p> <p>Possess competence in the Maryland Career and Technology Programs of Study, including Industry Recognized Credentials and apprenticeships</p> <p>Provide leadership and have the capacity to understand and apply innovative CTE reform practices</p> <p>Lead efforts to effectively expand CTE opportunities to reach a larger student population</p> <p>Interpret data to make instructional decisions that positively affect students, teachers, and stakeholders</p> <p>Provide leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum instruction programs in CTE programs</p> <p>Provide leadership in aligning career and technical education goals to other school system goals and vision</p> <p>Assist teachers in achieving optimum teaching/learning conditions</p> <p>Select, supervise, evaluate, and provide in-service activities for personnel assigned to stated programs</p> <p>Observe teachers in an instructional setting according to Board policy and procedure</p> <p>Work collaboratively with the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, Wor-Wic Community College, and other external agencies</p> <p>Interview applicants for teaching positions and make recommendations for employment</p> <p>Apply for and manage applicable local, regional, state, and national grants</p> <p>Develop a budget to meet department-level goals, including those funds through the general fund and grant programs</p> <p>Distribute funds allocated for materials of instruction, textbooks, and grants</p> <p>Collaborate with alternative school administrators to expand and refine CTE options that address student interests, and post-secondary goals</p> <p>Work collaboratively with other content area supervisors, building-level administrators, and career counselors and coaches</p> <p>Other duties as assigned</p>
