<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Faculty of Culture, Language & Performing Arts at BYU-Hawaii invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in Spanish Language instruction. The successful candidate may teach 1-2 beginning and intermediate Spanish language courses per semester, beginning Fall 2025.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Teach beginning and intermediate-level Spanish language courses </li><li>Prepare course materials and assessments in alignment with departmental standards </li><li>Provide students with timely feedback and academic support </li><li>Maintain regular office hours and participate in department meetings as needed </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Language Education, or a related field </li><li>Fluency in Spanish and English </li><li>Commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching </li><li>Willingness to teach in-person on BYU-Hawaii's campus </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Spanish, Second Language Teaching, or a closely related field </li><li>Prior experience teaching Spanish at the college or university level </li><li>Familiarity with communicative and student-centered teaching approaches </li></ul> <p>About BYU-Hawaii</p> <p>Brigham Young University-Hawaii, operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, offers a unique intercultural educational experience.
