<p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Number 005144 Position Title One-Stop Counselor - 005144 Division Finance and Administration Department 172653 - SFS One-Stop Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications Job Description Summary</p> <p>The University of South Alabama's One-Stop department is seeking to hire a One-Stop Counselor. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>These are the job duties required of the position.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Delivers exceptional student centered culturally responsive, start-to-finish one-stop experience across multiple mechanisms. </li><li>Directly supports student efforts to successfully transition to USA and reach their completion goals, providing guidance to applicants and students who need additional support to navigate the student experience. </li><li>Serves as an integral part of the USA One Stop physical location and call center and will be cross-trained in multiple functions across the campus. </li><li>Assists the One Stop Assistant Manager of Daily Operations with initial and refresher training for One Stop student assistants on proper account review protocol, FERPA and telephone etiquette, etc.. </li><li>Answers incoming phone calls and live chats regarding federal financial aid, student account services, and questions related to other student services areas as needed. </li><li>directs calls to other areas, as applicable. </li><li>Logs communications with students in the databases as needed for audit trail purposes. </li><li>Delivers excellent customer service by providing accurate information quickly, efficiently and with a positive attitude by demonstrating a high level of communication skills and extensive knowledge with those in need to ensure they feel supported. </li><li>Exceeds expectations and ensures calls and visits are managed with a student-first mentality. </li><li>Attends and participates in scheduled events during and after office hours, as needed. </li><li>Participates in or leads department and division committees as assigned. </li><li>Provides general office support that assist in the functioning of the office. </li><li>Regular and prompt attendance. </li><li>Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required. </li><li>Related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Posting Information</p> <p>Number of Vacancies 1 Position End Date (if temporary) Job Open Date 03/12/2025 Job Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants Working Days Monday - Friday Working Hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Job Location Main Campus Full-time or Part-Time Full Time Regular or Temporary Regular</p>
