In addition, we provide a competitive benefits package and 401(K).</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Note: This role may be filled at an 'interim' level with the opportunity for full placement if the selected candidate does not yet meet the minimum qualifications.</p> <p>The Lead Treatment & Distribution Operator is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of the sources of supply, treatment stations, pump stations, dams, pressure reducing valves, storage tanks, and watershed/reservoir security and maintenance. Maintains and adjusts the operational set points including pressures, tank levels, system flow capacities, and chemical feed rates and alarms as needed. Reviews and interprets system water production, charts, system trends, and sources of supply reports.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all owned and operated wells, filter plants, storage tanks, booster stations, and treatment facilities. Assigns daily work to the Water Operators. </li><li>Attends stations, handles chemicals, conducts maintenance, takes water samples, and performs standby. </li><li>Troubleshoots all problems associated with water treatment and pumping. Provides guidance to other operators. </li><li>Coordinates with outside contracts and other departments for projects and improvements. Attends classes and training for continuing education credits to maintain license. </li><li>Determines system changes, anticipates periods of high demand, and adjusts the stations settings as necessary. Must be aware of SCADA and alarm set points. </li><li>Performs clerical duties and keeps an inventory of chemicals, parts, and supplies.
