<p>Overview:</p> <p>Step into a high-impact Technical Lead role within our Institutional Services technology group, where you'll guide dynamic engineering teams responsible for business-critical financial applications. This is your opportunity to shape the future of institutional services, drive innovation, and make a tangible difference in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead an engineering team, ensuring development and support efforts align with organizational goals and client needs. </li><li>Build strong client relationships, consult on evolving business requirements, and recommend forward-thinking solutions that anticipate industry changes. </li><li>Oversee the delivery of mission-critical applications, manage project queues, and ensure teams execute with excellence and efficiency. </li><li>Champion innovation by monitoring technology trends, initiating improvements, and driving adoption of best-in-class solutions. </li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a culture of belonging within your teams. </li><li>Manage vendor relationships, product evaluations, and technology infrastructure, ensuring robust support and seamless integration. </li><li>Maintain rigorous standards for risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls, safeguarding the integrity of our financial systems. </li><li>Shape policies and procedures to enhance departmental performance and effectiveness, while managing budgets and staffing to support strategic objectives. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 9 years' combined higher education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years in engineering/architecture and 3 years in leadership roles. </li><li>Proven ability to manage complex, multi-project environments and deliver results in fast-paced settings. </li><li>Deep expertise in the Microsoft .NET stack and cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) is essential. </li><li>Strong background in financial services, ideally banking, with a clear understanding of business and operational impacts. </li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, and project management skills. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' technology management or large program leadership experience. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of application development, product integration, and technology frameworks. </li><li>Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities, with a track record of shaping team direction and driving business growth. </li></ul> <p>#LI-JB3</p> <p>M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $128,100.00 - $213,500.00 Annual (USD).
