<p>General Function</p> <p>To lead and manage a team of front-of-house staff and be in control of the venue's front-of-house operations</p> <p>Applicants are encouraged to apply promptly, as this posting may be taken down before the listed closing date once adequate candidate interest has been reached</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Trains the ushers on the evening of performances. </li><li>Executes health and safety policies, and evacuation procedures for the venue when necessary. </li><li>Assigns staff to emergency exit points at the beginning of each shift in preparation for an emergency. </li><li>Delegates duties to staff during assigned shift, including ticket collection, stewarding, program distribution or patron direction and assistance. </li><li>Coordinates activities with the Stage Manager, Technical Director and other appropriate staff. </li><li>Manages the ushers while they are on duty; oversees lobby area, seating and overall comfort of the theatre patrons. </li><li>Acts as a customer contact during performances, dealing with complaints and inquiries. </li><li>Works closely with the Box Office staff, as appropriate, regarding ticket sales and audience composition. </li><li>Organizes staff breaks, ensuring adequate coverage at all time. </li><li>Serves as liaison with other departments, employees and outside organizations to ensure smooth front-of-house operations. </li><li>Inspects the venue during and after performances for cleanliness and maintenance. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Requires a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of experience in operations and/or customer service in a theatre environment</p>
