<p>CyrusOne is a global enterprise data center collocation provider, dedicated to increasing the availability and efficiency of our customers' mission-critical business applications and safeguarding their data in our highly secure data centers. Under the direction of the Sr Facility Manager this role works as a team member in an Operations & Maintenance organization that provides a variety of O&M services within a 24/7/365 environment. Provides duties with constant awareness of the need to preserve the reliability of the critical load. Also provides operational support for building systems of other facilities as assigned. Responsible for carrying out maintenance and operations by performing the following duties personally or as a team member in a Data Center Operations & Maintenance environment.</p> <p>Role Summary</p> <p>The Senior Data Center Facilities Technician is responsible for executing and supporting the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program across data center and assigned facility spaces. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure while supporting vendor coordination, incident response, and compliance with operational standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Operations & Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Execute assigned tasks within the data center O&M program under the direction of the Senior Facility Manager </li><li>Understand and adhere to building operational procedures and site-specific requirements </li><li>Utilize and support the use of the CMMS system to track preventive maintenance, reactive work orders, and labor activities </li><li>Follow and enforce SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs for all maintenance and operational activities </li></ul> <p>Incident Response & Technical Operations</p> <ul> <li>Respond to building system alarms, prioritizing: </li></ul> <p>Protection of critical load</p> <p>Minimization of equipment or system damage</p> <p>Support of root cause analysis and prevention</p> <ul> <li>Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and safe work setup to support maintenance and contractor activities </li><li>Troubleshoot systems using equipment interfaces and stabilize operations until OEM or specialized support is engaged </li></ul> <p>Vendor & Contractor Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of maintenance and project work </li><li>Support site access, escorting, and enforcement of safety protocols and procedures </li><li>Assist with equipment evaluations and provide input for contractor scopes of work </li></ul> <p>Quality, Safety & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all work meets high standards of workmanship and operational excellence </li><li>Comply with all company, client, and regulatory requirements, including EHS standards </li><li>Identify and report operational risks, safety concerns, and potential system issues </li><li>Participate in ongoing training and maintain awareness of evolving operational standards </li></ul> <p>Availability</p> <ul> <li>Support 24/7/365 operations, including on-call responsibilities and emergency response situations </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong commitment to customer service, teamwork, and accountability </li><li>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) </li><li>Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Visio, AutoCAD, or similar tools </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Journeyman-level skills in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC/R disciplines, obtained through technical training or equivalent hands-on experience</p> </li><li> <p>7-10 years of experience in data center operations, facility maintenance, or building engineering (Tier II-IV environments preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with:</p> </li><li> <p>CMMS systems and work order management</p> </li><li> <p>Vendor and subcontractor coordination</p> </li><li> <p>KPI tracking and reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Capacity planning</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance best practices</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of system operations to stabilize issues until OEM support is available</p> </li></ul> <p>Certifications</p> <ul> <li>HVAC certification, Journeyman, or Master Electrician license preferred </li></ul> <p>CyrusOne is an equal opportunity employer.
