<p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and manage the technology infrastructure that supports business operations (hardware, networks, operating systems, middleware, and telecommunications). </li><li>Contribute to documenting, monitoring, and maintaining the network infrastructure and improving its posture. </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with internal leadership, business teams, IT, and external vendors. </li><li>Serve as an escalation point to diagnose complex network and server issues, identifying causes and developing remediation strategies. </li><li>Assist the management of the server environment. Tasks include creating new virtual machines, upgrading management software, troubleshooting infrastructure, and closely monitoring resource usage. </li><li>Understand business requirements and effectively design, communicate, and deliver solutions to both technical and business audiences. </li><li>Offer technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to peers as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>CCNA or comparable industry certification. </li><li>5+ years of experience in Information Technology with an emphasis on IT Infrastructure Networking. </li><li>3+ years of experience with designing, configuring, installing, maintaining, and tuning components associated with the LAN/WAN infrastructure. </li><li>Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems and solid grasp of Active Directory and Group Policy in a multi-domain, geographically separated environment. </li><li>Solid TCP/IP network knowledge and troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of DHCP, WINS, and DNS network services. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of backup concepts and best practices. Preferably experienced using Veeam Backup and Replication software. </li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server administration. </li><li>Understanding of SAN and storage architecture. </li><li>Knowledge of wireless networking including managing, troubleshooting, and best practices. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, cooperative teamwork skills, excellent problem-solving ability, high degree of flexibility as well as the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work. </li><li>Must be detail-oriented and can identify, prioritize, and complete tasks on deadline. </li><li>Excellent documentation and organizational skills. </li><li>Comfortable in fast-paced, constantly changing work environment. </li></ul> <p>Additional Criteria:</p> <p>Career Progression</p> <ul> <li>Worked on a tier 1 support team early in career. </li><li>Career arc shows progression of trust and added responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Network Experience</p> <ul> <li>Network Certificate like CCNA or another vendor equivalent. </li><li>Managing and deploying Wireless infrastructure. </li><li>Competency with switching equipment at the access and core layers. </li><li>Port Configuration. </li><li>Switch interconnectivity configuration. </li><li>Edge firewall management - site to site VPNs, ACLs, routing. </li><li>Understanding and experience with dot1x/Radius and the underlying software/systems/protocols that are involved. </li></ul> <p>Server Experience</p> <ul> <li>Windows and Active Directory administration. </li><li>User Provisioning. </li><li>Group Policy Admin. </li><li>VMWare vCenter or HyperV administration. </li><li>Provisioning and managing virtual servers and their hardware. </li><li>Managing and implementing network storage. </li></ul> <p>Backup Experience</p> <ul> <li>Managing backup of servers and other critical IT assets. </li></ul> <p>Projects</p> <ul> <li>Experience with projects involving servers/network equipment. Has been a part of the planning/design/communication/execution. </li><li>Can speak to experience in planning/researching and communicating with different stakeholders. </li></ul>
