<p>Designer IV (Utilities - Orlando)</p> <p>Department: Civil/Municipal</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: Orlando, FL</p> <p>Description</p> <p>CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation's Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine.</p> <p>We are actively seeking to hire the following position in Orlando:</p> <ul> <li>Designer IV </li></ul> <p>The Designer IV-Utilities focuses in developing and executing design solutions across a wide variety of projects. This role requires close collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to transform initial concepts into detailed, high-quality designs. You will work on the entire design process, from concept development to project completion, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project objectives.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>-Primary Responsibilities-- </li><li>Lead the development and refinement of design concepts that meet both client needs and project goals. Ensure that designs align with budget, schedule, and regulatory constraints. </li><li>Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and other design software, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project specifications. </li><li>Work closely with engineers, architects, designers, and clients to integrate technical requirements, structural elements, and aesthetic design into cohesive project solutions. Oversee multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless coordination throughout the design and construction process. </li><li>Participate in design reviews, making necessary modifications based on client and team feedback to ensure the project meets all objectives. Ensure design revisions maintain quality and adhere to project schedules and budgets. </li><li>Interpret building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements to guide the design process, ensuring all designs meet the required legal and safety standards. </li><li>Conduct research on materials, construction techniques, building codes, and industry trends to ensure that designs incorporate up-to-date and innovative solutions. </li><li>Perform site visits to gather relevant data, assess construction progress, and evaluate the feasibility of designs. Generate detailed reports based on site assessments and findings. </li><li>Calculate material quantities, cost estimates, and other necessary data to support civil engineering and land development projects. Assist with construction plans, ensuring all specifications are met. </li><li>Coordinate construction plans across various disciplines and ensure the timely submission of design documents to regulatory agencies.
