<p>Position: Special Education Teachers, Kindergarten to 12th Grade, 2026-2027</p> <p>Location: Boston, MA</p> <p>Start date: August, 2026</p> <p>ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY</p> <p>We are accepting applications for Special Education teachers in all grades for the 2026-2027 school year. Teaching positions are based at our PreK-5th grade elementary school on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park, our 6th-8th grade middle school on 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain, and our high school on 100 Poydras St. in Brighton.</p> <p>We don't yet know what our openings will be, but we're thrilled to be in touch with you if you are job searching for next year!</p> <p>The salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,812-98,899 and is determined by prior years of full-time teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance.</p> <p>PM20</p> <p>OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>We make it a high priority to effectively support students with disabilities at Match. Approximately 23% of Match students are on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Special Education Teachers provide instruction and support to students with IEPs. The Special Education Teacher reports to the Special Education Director and is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Providing inclusion support and instruction in regular education classes containing IEP students, and when absolutely necessary, teaching separate classes. </li><li>Helping to manage the school's Special Education programing including, but not limited to: completion of necessary paperwork and filing, teacher professional development, management of parent and student communication, administration of student testing/screening, and upholding of applicable Department of Elementary and Secondary Education compliance requirements. </li><li>Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there; </li><li>Participating actively in Match's coaching and professional development programming; </li><li>Assisting with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and </li><li>Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Research has shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs if they don't believe they meet every one of the qualifications described in a job description.
