<p>Kingspan Light + Air is an award-winning innovator of daylighting and ventilation solutions for high-performance building envelopes, offering a wide range of high-quality solutions, including translucent daylighting systems, skylights, smoke, and natural ventilation products.</p> <p>To help us continue to grow our business, we're searching for a Material Handler who will be responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counts according to inventory reports.</p> <p>Benefits include a competitive hourly rate, medical/dental/vision insurance with HSA plan, retirement plan with 4% company match, 13 days of Paid Time Off plus 10 paid company holidays, and upward advancement potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Cycle counts raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, sub-assemblies, and non-conforming materials daily. </li><li>Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches to locate misclassified inventory. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. </li><li>Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left. Test all incoming aluminum extrusions as per Receiving SOPs. </li><li>Report nonconforming products discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision - publish weekly and quarterly inventory metrics as required. </li><li>Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them). Ensure that all materials are properly labeled and tagged. </li><li>Assist in receiving and put away process for new raw materials and packaging ensuring items are labeled appropriately when required. </li><li>Breakdown boxes and pallets as necessary to fit shelving. </li><li>Maintains inventory stocking at work centers by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and at the appropriate work centers, recording location of inventory. </li><li>Verifies the accuracy of the type, quantity and quality of materials delivered to stock or work centers. </li><li>Notifies the Supervisor about any damaged or defective parts. </li><li>Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. </li><li>Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. </li><li>If requested, receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock. </li><li>Ensure completed documents and proof of pickup is obtained for all materials returning to Vendors. </li><li>Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections notifying Leadership of any equipment concerns. </li><li>Ensures that all materials are labeled, and update labels as needed. </li><li>Updates Operational Support with material transactions. </li><li>Focus efforts on continuous improvement in conjunction with leadership. </li><li>Maintain attendance that is in line with the current company policy for absenteeism. </li><li>Assist EHS and Quality/Compliance investigations as required. </li><li>Report all defective material via the appropriate channels. </li><li>Report all Quality/Compliance concerns through the local Quality/Compliance representative and your Supervisor. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in cycle counting, inventory control, and material handling. </li><li>1-2 years' operating a forklift with a positive safety record (must be licensed). </li><li>Ability to acquire knowledge of products and components and an ability to properly identify products. </li><li>Ability to accurately update the MRP system with material transfer data. </li><li>Ability to accurately label and maintain accurate labeling on materials. </li></ul> <p>At Kingspan, we believe our employees are our greatest resource.
