<p>This Family Law and Financial Planning Services Senior Analyst role is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about individual finance, helping clients navigate the financial and tax elements of family law matters, and is looking to step into a highly visible role with sophisticated clients.</p> <p>Our engagements include a variety of technically challenging work in the family law field with an emphasis on personal finance and taxes. Additionally, you would step into a new comprehensive financial planning practice area with the ability to impact process and service delivery to clients. You would be joining a progressive office in Nashville and receiving mentorship and support from seasoned industry professionals in the market. High-performing candidates have a clearly defined path for advancement to leadership positions within LBMC.</p> <p>SCOPE OF WORK</p> <ul> <li>Perform financial planning engagements and personal finance and taxation aspects of family law engagements, including financial forensics, working collaboratively with clients and team members to ensure engagement expectations, budgets, and ensure timelines are met </li><li>Review financial documents and distill financial information into reporting tools to support clients and attorneys in decision-making and settlement, as well as performing analyses and creating reports for use in mediation and at trial when needed. </li><li>Perform complex financial and tax calculations in family law engagements and review personal financial documents and tax returns. </li><li>Identifies the most effective means of meeting engagement objectives, including the use of technology and the right mix of procedures and personnel. </li><li>Works diligently to support and build relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the LBMC Litigation and Valuation Department and external clients, attorneys, and other financial professionals. High-performing individuals will be alert to client needs for the possible expansion of services to other LBMC Family of Company service lines </li><li>Possess a thorough understanding of individual tax and personal finance concepts to provide effective solutions to complex client issues </li><li>Actively participates in thought leadership and practice development efforts of LBMC </li><li>Adheres to LBMC's defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality. </li></ul> <p>IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in Accounting, or related with sufficient hours to sit for CPA exam, if not already certified. </li><li>2+ years of progressive individual tax, family office, or personal finance experience with a strong skillset in excel modeling. </li><li>CPA or CPA candidate - attaining CPA license required for advancement </li><li>CFP or PFS designation a plus - attaining PFS designation required for advancement </li><li>2+ years of demonstrated increased level of responsibility and leadership accountability. </li><li>Prefer (but not required) experience in developing comprehensive financial plans and assisting clients with the implementation of plans. </li><li>Proven ability to work independently on projects and provide a high level of customer service to clients, attorneys, and general project stakeholders </li><li>Prefer (but not required) experience in the financial and tax issues inherent in family law, including classification of property, calculations of income, calculations related to retirement and investments, and application of various personal tax concepts. </li><li>Willingness to travel to client sites, as needed </li></ul>
