<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Pharmacy Technician assists in the preparation and delivery of pharmaceuticals under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist and in compliance with the Holyoke Medical Center's (HMC) mission, policies, procedures, and goals and those of the Pharmacy Department, and all regulatory agencies.</p> <p>The successful candidate will assist and provide back-up coverage for the Pharmacy Buyer as necessary.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Technician Level I</p> <p>Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Refer to the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy Regulations.</p> <p>Licenses/Registrations: Current registration as a pharmacy technician or technician trainee with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.</p> <p>Experience: Health-system pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.</p> <p>Technician Level II</p> <p>Education: All requirements for level I and successful completion of the HMC Technician Training program.</p> <p>Licenses/Registrations: Current registration as a pharmacy technician with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy. An active national certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g.: PTCB).</p> <p>Experience: At least 500 hours of experience in a health-system pharmacy.</p> <p>Technician Level III</p> <p>Education: All requirements for levels I and II, plus successful completion of the HMC Intravenous Technician Training program.</p> <p>Licenses/Registrations: Current registration as a pharmacy technician with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy. National certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g.: PTCB).</p> <p>Quality Assurance: Participation with and maintenance of negative media fill and fingertip testing at required intervals.</p> <p>Experience: At least 500 hours of experience as a Technician Level II.</p> <p>Technician Level IV</p> <p>Education: All requirements for prior levels, plus successful completion of the HMC Chemotherapy Technician Training program.</p> <p>Licenses/Registrations: Current registration as a pharmacy technician with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy. National certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g.: PTCB).</p> <p>Quality Assurance: Participation with and maintenance of negative media fill and fingertip testing at required intervals. Participation with and maintenance of health screenings.</p> <p>Experience: At least 1000 hours of experience as a Technician Level III.</p>
