<p>Purpose:</p> <p>Provides clinical and administrative leadership for community-based grief and loss programming, ensuring accessible, trauma-informed, evidence-informed services that promote quality outcomes for participants. Responsible for strategic program development, operational oversight, community engagement, volunteer integration, and fiscal stewardship. Advances awareness of grief and loss services among community stakeholders to secure sustainable funding and recruit qualified volunteers in alignment with organizational mission and vision.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Leads development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of community-based grief and loss programming to ensure quality-driven service delivery and measurable participant outcomes. </li><li>Provides oversight of Amanda the Panda (ATP) policies and procedures. </li><li>Develops and effectively manages team and legislative expense budgets that are approved annually. </li><li>Ensures responsible utilization of financial resources and adherence to approved budgets. </li><li>Provides guidance for team contributions to the annual organizational Balanced Scorecard. </li><li>Serves as the primary liaison with Foundation staff for fundraising initiatives, collaborates with current donors, cultivates new funding opportunities, and participates in fundraising efforts for ATP as opportunities are identified by the Vice President of Foundation and External Relations. </li><li>Supervises ATP staff performance, promotes staff development and provides program leadership using a collaborative style for team engagement. </li><li>Engages volunteers to support EveryStep's mission through identification of opportunities, development of position descriptions, and recruitment, training, supervision, and recognition. </li><li>Collaborates with EveryStep leaders in ways that add to a positive work environment and reflect organizational values and preferred culture. </li></ul> <p>Leadership Standards:</p> <ul> <li>Complies with all established policies, procedures and guidelines, including state and federal regulations, to ensure safe practices and quality services. </li><li>Ensures stewardship of financial resources. </li><li>Represents the organization in a professional manner and promotes a culture of integrity, respect, compassion, excellence, and teamwork. </li><li>Establishes and maintains collaborative professional relationships within the organization and community. </li><li>Engages in opportunities for professional leadership development. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities in an organized manner, make timely decisions, and exercise sound independent judgment. </li><li>Demonstrates commitment to continuous quality/performance improvement through development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Balanced Scorecard. </li><li>Recruits, hires, and retains talented, qualified staff who share the organization's values. </li><li>Clearly communicates roles, responsibilities, performance standards and expectations to staff. </li><li>Ensures staff have the necessary training and skills needed to be effective team members. </li><li>Regularly checks in with staff to provide constructive feedback and discuss progress towards goals, offering coaching, support or guidance as needed. </li><li>Clearly communicates organization objectives to staff, preserving confidentiality as needed. </li><li>Conducts timely performance reviews according to organization policy. </li><li>Addresses performance or conduct issues immediately and provides effective counseling and corrective action as needed. </li><li>Recognizes and celebrates staff accomplishments and exceptional performance and services. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in human services, social work, psychology, counseling, health administrations or related healthcare field </li><li>Master's degree in behavioral health or healthcare-related field preferred </li><li>Minimum of 1 year in a leadership position; experience working in a non-profit environment preferred </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience directly supervising others required </li><li>Knowledge of professional principles and practices for grief and loss programs </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of current leadership and supervisory principles and practices with strong human relation skills; Experience working in a team setting </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of continuous quality improvement environments and techniques </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain business relationships including good public contact and group presentation skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in an organized manner, make timely decisions and exercise sound independent judgment </li><li>Ability to evaluate people and provide an environment that motivates others </li><li>Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with individuals and groups </li><li>Demonstrated ability to identify problems/issues and confront them; Effectively employ negotiation, conflict management and quality improvement skills to resolve issues </li><li>Strong keyboarding and computer skills and the ability to learn work-related software </li><li>Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification </li><li>Mandatory Reporter of Child and Dependent Adult abuse training certification (within 30 days of hire) </li><li>Must have valid driver's license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation if driving is required </li><li>Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, 2-step TB test and background check </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Physical requirements: Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds rarely and/or a small amount of force frequently to move objects, including the human body </li><li>Physical activities: Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions, Fingering (picking, pinching, typing, etc.), Visual acuity (field of vision for analyzing data, viewing computer, using measurement devices, operating machines, determining accuracy or neatness, and/or making general observations) </li><li>Environment: Work is primarily performed in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential </li><li>Time: Ability to be flexible with a varying schedule and programmatic requirements </li><li>Travel: Required between locations </li></ul> <p>These characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
