<p>The Department of Health Policy and Management in the School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Associate Professor (12MO) / Director of Masters of Healthcare Administration Program.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is expected to have the expertise and experiences required to provide leadership in our healthcare administration programs, which currently include a Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Public Health, with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. Specific areas of interest include healthcare administration, strategic planning and marketing, organizational behavior, management, systems science, and/or financing and reimbursement. The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship.</p> <p>This position will be primarily based at the SUNY Downstate School of Public Health Manhattan-site, but may be asked to work at the main SUNY Brooklyn campus.</p> <p>Additionally, the successful candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Manage processes required to achieve and maintain compliance with standards of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education ICAHME). </li><li>Lead efforts to raise the 'visibility of the MHA Program through building and maintenance of relationships of health care Institutions throughout New York City and by establishing a network of strong partnerships at the city, state, and national level. </li><li>Maintain curricular currency to ensure that MHA graduates receive world-class training that positions them for leadership opportunities. </li><li>Engage In teaching and mentorship of students In the MHA program. </li><li>Support the School of Public Health Student Affairs Office in developing approaches for recruitment, admission, and retention of students. </li><li>Attend regional and national conferences and events to support the program's visibility. </li><li>Lead scholarship relevant to healthcare administration. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5 to 7 years of leadership experience in the healthcare field. </li><li>Terminal degree preferred (PhD, EdD, MD or JD) with an accompanying Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree, or related graduate equivalent, and/or a satisfactory combination of experience and education. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Variable Days; Variable Hours (Full-Time)</p> <p>Salary Grade/Rank:</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>Commensurate with experience and qualifications</p> <p>Executive Order:</p> <p>Pursuant to Executive Order 161, no State entity, as defined by the Executive Order, is permitted to ask, or mandate, in any form, that an applicant for employment provide his or her current compensation, or any prior compensation history, until such time as the applicant is extended a conditional offer of employment with compensation.
