<p>Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Coordinator (Correctional Program Coordinator)</p> <p>About Us:</p> <p>The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) provides statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by Ohioans. The Bureau of Correctional Recovery Services works with offenders in Ohio's prisons to instill an improved sense of responsibility and the ability to become law-abiding citizens.</p> <p>Recovery Services Correctional Program Coordinators (Counselors) with a MAT focus use evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Engagement (ME) skills in treatment of offenders who need medication assisted treatment and programming.</p> <p>Are you a qualified, licensed clinical counseling professional (Social Work, Licensed Counselor, Chemical Dependency Counseling) skilled at working with SUD Clients who are eligible to receive MAT?</p> <p>Do you want to help incarcerated men and women get the benefit of medication assisted treatment in order to live substance-free and productive lives?</p> <p>Do you enjoy utilizing your clinical skills to help effect change in the lives of others?</p> <p>Do you enjoy working in an environment which supports positive life change?</p> <p>Are you able to provide services and guidance to the substance use population using a MAT approach?</p> <p>The Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) focused Coordinator may be a great fit for you!</p> <p>What you'll do at OhioMHAS:</p> <p>Duties of the Correctional Program Coordinator include:</p> <ul> <li>At assigned correctional institutions, provide coordination of medication assisted orientation, treatment, counseling, and guidance for eligible participants </li><li>Coordinate ongoing collaboration for participants with needed partners (MHAS Recovery Services, DRC Medical and Mental Health, contracted Opiate Treatment Providers, Community Linkage, etc.) to ensure provision of and continuity of services </li><li>Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge planning with MAT participants in a coordinated approach and documented in electronic health record </li><li>Engage and offer clients assistance with Medication-Assisted Treatment to foster and strengthen recovery </li><li>Monitor and evaluate progress of the participants eligible for MAT in the substance use programs </li><li>Provide technical assistance for continuing care planning </li><li>Schedule is Monday-Friday, however hours will vary </li><li>Provide technical assistance and training to staff as required </li></ul> <p>Job Location:</p> <p>Grafton Correctional Institution</p> <p>2500 Avon Belden Rd</p> <p>Grafton, OH 44044</p> <p>Selected applicant(s) will be required to complete the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction's training at the Corrections Training Academy located in Orient, OH. This training is approximately 4 weeks in length.</p> <p>This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 11 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. This position is located within ODRC institution at Grafton Correctional Institution.</p> <p>Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.</p> <p>Position Qualifications</p> <p>Must hold current certification or credentials in one of following:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) </li><li>Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III) </li><li>Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) </li><li>Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. </li><li>Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. </li><li>Professional Counselor (PC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. </li><li>Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. </li><li>Licensed Physician by State of Ohio Medical Board. </li><li>Licensed Psychologist by State of Ohio Board of Psychology. </li><li>Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing. </li><li>Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board. </li><li>Licensed Independent Marriage & Family Therapist licensed by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board. </li><li>Applications of those who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated against the following criteria: </li></ul> <p>All eligible applications shall be reviewed considering the following criteria: qualifications, experience, education, active disciplinary record, and work record.</p>
