<p>APPLY NOW</p> <p>This is a percentage-time position working two days per week. This position accrues some pro-rated benefits, including Paid Time Off, Extended Medical Leave, and Holidays.</p> <p>JOB OVERVIEW: The purpose of this position is to perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource office. Acts as front-line support for the Human Resources department and coordinates all office employment programs and activities.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Post job announcements online. E-mails to County Departments, various companies, and colleges. </li><li>Verifies degrees using Degree Verify for potential new hires and County Employees. </li><li>Performs E-Verify checks to ensure that new hires are eligible to work in the United States. </li><li>Runs MACHS background checks for police records of potential new hires. </li><li>Enters Supervisor Incident forms, discipline records, and Commendations in MUNIS/HRIS system. </li><li>Runs report for random drug testing and coordinates with the vendor quarterly. Schedules drug testing for new hires and random drug tests for current employees. Sends a random list to DSI quarterly. Tracks results. </li><li>Generates a report list for quarterly Mental Health Check-ins. Coordinates with necessary departments and monitors results. </li><li>Plans and coordinates Employee Assistance Program training courses. </li><li>Coordinates DOT/DFW trainings twice per year. </li><li>Assists new hires with completing new hire tasks and benefit enrollment. </li><li>Schedules and administers Clerical tests, Dispatcher tests, and Appraiser tests for job applicants. </li><li>Makes ID badges for employees and vendors. </li><li>Resets passwords for employees to access the Self Service Portal. </li><li>Enters position requisitions and sets up position files as needed. </li><li>Answers requests for employment verifications. </li><li>Pays all Department bills. </li><li>Orders Department supplies. </li><li>Monitors HR email account. </li><li>Answers, screens, and directs telephone calls. </li><li>Assists customers and employees. </li><li>Prepares correspondence, documents, and reports as necessary. Copies and files documents as needed. </li><li>Serves as a backup for entering employee personnel actions. </li><li>Schedules interviews. </li><li>Receives and distributes or routes departmental mail. </li><li>Assists with benefit change and enrollment as needed. </li><li>May assist at Job Fairs. </li><li>Tracks referrals for the Employee Referral Program. Order awards for those qualified. </li><li>Gathers information and reports to send to lawyers for subpoenas for County Employees as needed. </li><li>Runs the Birthday Report for the newsletter monthly. </li><li>Runs the Service Award report twice a year. </li><li>Updates Job Status Hotline weekly. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education</p> </li><li> <p>A high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Job experience</p> </li><li> <p>3 years of human resources experience in a progressive organization or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires successful completion of computerized clerical skills testing as follows:</p> </li><li> <p>Data Entry</p> </li><li> <p>Microsoft Outlook</p> </li><li> <p>Customer Service</p> </li><li> <p>Please call Human Resources at 636-949-7320 to receive a testing link.</p> </li><li> <p>Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.</p> </li></ul> <p>TO APPLY: All applications must be submitted using the APPLY NOW link above.
