The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environment and have the skill sets necessary to be successful in this position.</p> <p>Reporting to the Executive Director, Student Accessibility & Well Being (EDSAWB), the Director II, CARE Case Management provides oversight and direction for the CARE department and its team. The Director II provides leadership, direct supervision, and guidance to the CARE case managers and supports the ED, SAWB with strategic planning, program development, training, and assessment as well as ensuring and maintaining case management compliance and operational excellence. This role also provides non-clinical, goal-oriented, and strengths-based assessment, intervention, and coordination of services to students facing challenges in areas such as health, housing, finances, academics, behavior, and general welfare. This role involves immediate problem-solving for both traditional and complex situations, resource identification, referrals, and basic-needs support to enhance student success and holistic well-being. Through a coordinated and integrated approach, this position works closely with other offices (particularly Counseling) and third-party agencies to connect students with resources to aid in their success - all in an equitable way for all students in all locations and modalities. This position additionally oversees staff leading the Collegiate Recovery Program and must be well-versed in the needs of the program and an advocate for the efforts in the College community.</p> <p>The Director II will also work closely with the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT Team) to address varying levels of distress and risk while connecting students with appropriate resources. In addition to direct case management responsibilities, the Director II provides leadership, direct supervision, and guidance to the CARE case managers. Occasional travel is required for this position.</p> <p>Non-Clinical Case Management:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Schedules and conducts intake appointments to assess students' needs holistically and create an action plan for support.</p> </li><li> <p>Delivers individualized CARE and case management services, including resource management, service planning, and monitoring/evaluation.</p> </li><li> <p>Teaches students problem-solving techniques and guide them in identifying alternative options related to their goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate case notes in the electronic record-keeping system, reflecting essential information and discussions.</p> </li><li> <p>Refers students to relevant on-campus and community resources based on their needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes and maintains partnerships with community agencies to address students' basic needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the initial point of contact for students seeking services in the CARE and counseling office.+</p> </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Supervision:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise support staff overseeing and directing daily operations, providing guidance and performance management, and ensuring efficient team productivity.</p> </li><li> <p>Offers leadership, guidance, and support in case management practices and professional development.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the training and onboarding of new case managers, ensuring adherence and compliance to best practices and institutional policies.</p> </li></ul> <p>CARE Departmental Leadership:</p> <ul> <li> <p>This position is responsible for overseeing and directing all CARE related services, programs, and staff. This role is the leader within the CARE department and serves as the direct contact for escalated complex situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates and directs assessment efforts related to case management effectiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports the ED, SAWB in strategic planning, program evaluation and assessment, and reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the ED, SAWB to develop and implement strategies for program improvement and effectiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains knowledge of community and campus resources by ongoing engagement with Aims faculty and staff, public health, private services, and community stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates and enhances the quality of case management services through consistent assessment, detailed documentation, comprehensive reporting, and the proactive revision of policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs, oversees and supports case management staff in achieving and maintaining relevant professional development certifications and engaging in continuous training.</p> </li><li> <p>Designs, develops, and implements educational programs to advance case management practices and knowledge both at the department level and college-wide level.</p> </li><li> <p>Leads weekly case management meetings, ensuring continuity and effective team collaboration.</p> </li><li> <p>This role supports the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) by deciding who gets referred to the BIT Team for additional interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>Contributes to BIT Team discussions and assessments using case notes and referral information.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements and directs BIT Team-recommended interventions and support plans for students.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts an initial generalized risk assessment of BIT referrals using the NABITA Risk Rubric and shares those results with the Dean of Student Engagement and Inclusion.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide budget development recommendations to Executive Director.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to internal compliance standards and ensure support staff is also in compliance with case management practices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Prevention & Well-Being Programming:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Directs the development and implementation of educational materials, support groups, and wellness programming tailored to common basic needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Creates and directs marketing and awareness campaigns promoting case management services.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts training sessions for faculty and staff on effectively supporting students with basic needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the ED, SAWB to develop an on-going CARE program training series for case managers.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and directs the annual CARE program training series for faculty and staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs and provides programming opportunities for students related to mental health and wellness.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs and develops curriculum for workshops to students on mental health topics on all satellite campuses.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Duties as Assigned</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in related field, plus four (4) years of related experience which must include direct service to students or an equivalent combination of education and/work experience.
