<p>Dover-Sherborn Public Schools is seeking a FLOATING SCHOOL NURSE for the 2026-27 School Year. Responsibilities The floating school nurse is responsible for supporting all four health offices in the Dover-Sherborn School District. The Dover Sherborn Float Nurse will assist building nurses and the nurse leader to develop, implement, and manage the school health program. Responsibilities include program management, nursing services, state mandated health screenings, collaboration with school and community professionals, health education,community health, emergency planning, and professional practice.As a nurse registered through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (BORN), the Nurse must adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, pertinent regulations governing nursing practice and standards of care established by the professional organizations. Initial Requirements: ? A minimum of 2 full years of employment as a Registered Nurse in child health, pediatric nursing or other relevant clinical nursing setting ? Current CPR and AED certification Requirements Once Hired: 1. Completion of an orientation program based on the requirements for delivery of school health services as defined by the Department of Public Health 2. Initial license as an educator through the Department of Education- a passing score on the Communication and Literacy Skills test 3. Work toward Professional license as a school nurse by the Massachusetts Department of Education, which includes: a. Possession of an Initial license b. Three years of employment as a school nurse; and completion of one of the following: -Achievement and maintenance of certification or licensure by a nationally recognized professional nursing association as a school nurse, community health nurse, or a pediatric/family/school nurse practitioner. -A master's degree program that may include credits earned in a master's degree program for the Initial License in community health, health education, nursing, or public health. -Achievement of certification by a nationally recognized professional nursing association as a school nurse, community health nurse, or a pediatric/family/school nurse practitioner. -.4FTE MS&HS, .2FTE Pine Hill, .2FTE Chickering Dover-Sherborn Contract and Salary Schedule: DS Educator's Agreement- FY 2023-2026 DS FY27 Salary Schedule</p>
