<p>Job description:</p> <p>The speech and language pathologist will work with students in grades K through 8 who have challenges in language, literacy, memory and processing, executive functioning, and/or social pragmatic communication difficulties. We are seeking candidates with expertise in working with students who require language-based instruction and who are able to link therapy to classroom objectives and to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.</p> <p>Job responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Providing speech and language therapy to students with this service on their IEPs </li><li>Consulting to general education and special education staff regarding student needs and best practices </li><li>Ongoing consultation to a program for students with language-based learning needs </li><li>Providing direct service and consultation to hearing-impaired students </li><li>Completing and presenting speech and language assessments </li><li>Attending IEP meetings </li><li>Monitoring student progress through the collection of data Completing IEPs and progress reports </li><li>Designing and implementing small group and/or inclusion intervention and instruction focused on listening, speaking, reading, writing, auditory memory/processing, executive functioning, and social thinking/pragmatic skills to support academic and social competencies. </li><li>Working with students with augmentative communication devices </li></ul> <p>Required Qulaifications</p> <ul> <li>Must have a current Massachusetts license (CCC-SLP) </li><li>Must have experience working in schools and/or with children ages 5-13 </li><li>Must be willing and able to provide remote teleservice to students indiviudally or in groups Must be willing and able to conduct in-person evaluations with COVID-19 precautions in place </li></ul>
