<p>Overview</p> <p>Pulmonary Function Technologist - Elmhurst</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time, 36 hours per week </li><li>Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 9 hour shift </li><li>Location: 133 East Brush Hill Road </li></ul> <p>Elmhurst, Illinois 60126</p> <ul> <li>Travel required to other locations as needed. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance and medical coverage at 100% (after deductible) when utilizing a Duly provider. </li><li>Employer provided life and disability insurance. </li><li>$5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year. </li><li>Immediate 401(k) match. </li><li>40 hours paid volunteer time off. </li><li>A culture committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Social Impact. </li><li>Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs pulmonary function testing, applies knowledge and testing protocols to determine extent of needed testing. </li><li>Performs desaturation (Simple Stress) studies. </li><li>Properly maintain, troubleshoot and clean PFT equipment per manufacturers and OSHA guidelines. </li><li>Obtains pertinent patient history. </li><li>Provides patient/family education on disease process and management and how to use medication administration devices correctly. </li><li>Documents work timely, completely, and accurately, including documentation in the patient medical record, documentation in department records, and patient billing. </li><li>Functions as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. </li><li>Precepts new employees and respiratory care students. </li><li>Participates in initiatives including work audits and committee participation; develops protocols in conjunction with department leadership. </li><li>Adherence to department policies and procedures; and other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's Degree required</p> </li><li> <p>Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred but not required.</p> </li><li> <p>CPFT is required to be completed within 18 months of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred but not required.</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required.</p> </li><li> <p>Current BLS/CPR certification required</p> </li><li> <p>A minimum of one year experience as a Pulmonary Function Technologist required.</p> </li><li> <p>Proper evaluation of patients, their clinical response to testing and medication, assessment of patient effort, and independent application of diagnostic protocols.</p> </li></ul> <p>The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $30.25-45.38 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.</p>
