The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.</p> <p>Position: Grade 2 Long-Term Substitute Teacher - to cover leave</p> <p>Location: Major Edwards Elementary School</p> <p>Assignment Dates: 02/2/2026 to 5/15/2026 (Dates are subject to change)</p> <p>General Description: Teach students in academic, social and manipulative skills, working within assigned subject areas to provide optimum student services in accordance with the objectives established by the School Committee. Coordinate efforts with specialists assigned to provide additional specific services. Collaborate with grade-level teammates, literacy coaches, and special educators. Plan instruction using HQIM curricular resources. Continue a classroom culture where kids feel safe, seen, and excited to learn. Confer with parents to promote better understanding of the pupil and his/her environment. Attend meetings and prepare and maintain all related records and reports reflecting activities as required or directed. Perform other duties as directed or as responsibilities necessitate.</p>
