Area 3: Open to applicants willing and eligible to join the Michigan National Guard (contact a recruiter).</p> <p>Duties</p> <p>Help</p> <ul> <li>THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POISITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP* </li></ul> <p>This position is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Mission Support Group, Force Support Squadron/Flight, and Military Personnel Section. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Military Personnel Flight of a Force Support Squadron or Flight. Serves as a Human Resources advisor and technical specialist for one of the following specific HR programs: Career Development, Personnel Systems, Manager, Force Development, Customer Support, Human Resources Remote, and/or Readiness.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs all human resources activities and support services for the host Wing and all supported Airmen, including: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, Personnel Systems Manager, Military Personnel and/or Readiness. Develops local policy and procedures for all human resources services within the Wing and coordinates with State Headquarters in the development of policy and programs for the state.</p> </li><li> <p>In addition to supervision, specializes in a function:</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Force Management: Plans, directs, controls, and provides advisory services on all aspects of the Career Enhancement program for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR), unit drill status guardsmen, full time technicians and potential members. Ensures accuracy of human resources data system and performs functional review of data reliability relative to the relocations program. </li><li>Customer Service: Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the Customer Service Program. Manages the Air Force Personnel Records System. </li><li>Career Development: Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the human resources employment program. Responsible for the development of internal policies and procedures governing administration of Personnel Employment programs to include inbound assignment for officer and airmen personnel; certification of military qualifications and assignment eligibility for AGRs, traditional drill status guardsmen applicants; and in-processing of personnel. </li><li>Readiness: Develops wing readiness plans for the administration of contingencies and mobilizations. Manages contingency and exercise deployments. Manages Deployment Systems. Is responsible to the Military Support Flight Commander for the Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO) portion of the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) Report.
