<p>OVERVIEW:</p> <p>SUPPORT SOLUTIONS OF THE MID-SOUTH (SSMS) provides high-quality supported living services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a mature, team-oriented, highly ethical and dependable professional with proven relevant skills and capabilities to manage various bill payments and overall accounts payable functions for supported persons where SSMS is their representative payee. This position requires collaboration across many organizations, people, and locations in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>This is a full-time hourly position offering medical and other health-related coverage, paid time off, retirement savings and other benefits. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Personal Funds management is required. Review the "Minimum Requirements" section for specific capabilities.</p> <p>GENERAL FUNCTION:</p> <p>Responsible for supporting all aspects of AP for a supported persons' personal funds, handling the payment (via check, ACH, or direct debit) and posting of all bill payments, such as rent, utilities, phone/internet, TV, allowances, and other items. Includes close collaboration with other personal funds coordinators to ensure prudent management and planning of funds in each supported persons' bank account. This position may also help support ancillary aspects of the overall SSMS AP process, particularly as it interrelates with personal funds.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Personal Funds Accounts Payable Coordinator</p> <p>Ensure full, current awareness of all bill payments and liabilities for all assigned supported persons where SSMS is their representative payee.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Handle incoming U.S. mail and email related to bill payments.</p> </li><li> <p>Create payments (via check, ACH, or bank debit) to ensure timely payment by due dates to avoid late fees and service interruptions.</p> </li><li> <p>Scan all documentation for retention and retrieval needs in an organized, consistent manner on a timely basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Record payments in the general ledger.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the establishment, disconnection, or transfer of home services.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish online billing and automatic bill payment where applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Review bills/invoices for discrepancies or anomalies and investigate/resolve as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately track property leases and ensure close coordination with SSMS Real Estate Property Management on lease renewals.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain Cash Logs and Food Stamp Logs for all assigned supported persons, and scan/retain/file all supporting documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Track all regular and periodic/ad hoc financial assistance provided by SSMS to ensure running balances are maintained, and all payback is coordinated from supported persons back to SSMS.</p> </li></ul> <p>This job description does not list all duties, and you may be asked by designated and/or authorized staff to perform other duties. Candidates selected for potential job offers will be subject to background checks and drug screening.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school degree or higher required, and bachelor's degree preferred, with experience in AP, Personal Funds, or Finance/Accounting.</p> </li><li> <p>Above average experience in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to independently create, use, and communicate through complex spreadsheets and documents.</p> </li><li> <p>Above average experience in computer usage and technology skills (including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>LICENSES/CERTIFICATES (must be maintained throughout employment):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid regular Driver's License.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid automobile insurance.</p> </li></ul>
