Read our Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity Statement here.</p> <p>Liquor Store Associate</p> <p>Job Purpose</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <p>Percent Of Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibility % Of Time</p> <p>Compliance 50%</p> <ul> <li>Observes customers and checks identification for age verification, identifying customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring customers to assist in the prevention of open containers leaving the store. </li><li>Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers. </li></ul> <p>Customer Excellence 25%</p> <ul> <li>Provides continuous attention to customers' needs. </li><li>Greets, assists, and thanks customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. </li><li>Offers product suggestions to customers when appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Operational Excellence 25%</p> <ul> <li>Stocks and rotates department products to ensure freshness and date control. </li><li>Restocks and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost. </li><li>Operates department equipment and tools; Operates cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently recognizing all forms of tender and providing the correct change when appropriate. </li><li>Keeps work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; reports faulty equipment and hazards to management. </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Education</p> <p>Required Education Course of Study</p> <p>High School / GED</p> <p>Preferred Education</p> <p>Preferred Education Course of Study</p> <p>High School / GED Diploma</p> <p>Language Requirements</p> <p>Language(s) Required Language(s) Preferred</p> <p>English English and Spanish</p> <p>Relevant Experience</p> <p>Relevant Experience Supervisory Experience</p> <p>0 -3 yrs minimum No Supervisory Experience</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 year of age. </li><li>TIPS Training required prior to position start date. *See Addendum Below. </li><li>Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and proficiently follow instructions. </li><li>Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same. </li><li>Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check. </li><li>Compliance with all company policies and procedures. </li><li>High standard of integrity and reliability. </li><li>Basic computer skills required to participate in online training. </li><li>Customer service skills.. </li><li>Ability to work in face-paced and busy environment. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Factors</p> <p>Retail - General Heavy: Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk on various types of flooring, utilize manual dexterity, talk, see, hear, smell and perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet. The employee is frequently required to reach at waist level or overhead, carry, push, or lift various loads up to the required weights listed. The employee is occasionally required to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb up to 30 ft. Working Conditions: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be exposed to working in indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet/humid working conditions. Safety Risk Factors: The employee is frequently required to twist back and/or neck, walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface, work with hazardous equipment and be exposed to sharp objects. The employee is occasionally required to be exposed to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins.
