and position us as an industry leader in logistics automation.</p> <p>The Logistics Process Engineer is responsible for leading and/or supporting:</p> <ul> <li>New process development and process kaizen/optimization in the areas of material storage and conveyance, inventory management, transportation, etc. </li><li>Space planning </li><li>Capacity enhancements </li><li>Safety evaluation/enhancement </li><li>Facility layout </li><li>Simulation </li><li>Equipment/tool design </li><li>Capital improvement projects </li></ul> <p>This includes the evaluation and introduction of innovative technologies such as automated guided vehicles (AGV), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) to improve labor and space efficiency.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate innovative technologies such as automated guided vehicles (AGV), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) to improve labor and space efficiency </li><li>Develop specifications, installation and training plans for new equipment and/or material-handling systems </li><li>Manage logistics projects with internal/external customers & contractors including the following activities: budgetary planning, quotation, procurement, design review, implementation, process validation, and process sustainment </li><li>Follow all safety standards and protocols in accordance with DENSO's requirements and industry best practices, including Contractor Safety (all Logistics Engineering team members must achieve and maintain Level 3 Safety Observer status) </li><li>Analyze data, perform cycle time analysis and complete capacity studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current and future warehouse and conveyance operations </li><li>Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement opportunities within the logistics operation </li><li>Design, maintain, and optimize warehouse facility layouts </li><li>Design equipment and tools to be used in logistics operations </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics, Logistics Maintenance, NAITS/IoT, SHE, Facilities, Purchasing, NAPIC, and M&T teams to integrate new technologies and ensure seamless implementation </li><li>Collaborate and align locally and globally as required (DMTN, DMAT, DMNC, DNJP) </li><li>Assess the environmental impact and/or energy efficiency of logistics activities </li><li>Prepare reports and presentation materials as requested </li><li>Perform other responsibilities as required by business need </li></ul> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors' degree or higher in Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited program </li><li>5+ years of relevant experience (includes co-op $94,000-$117,000</p>
