The Registered Nurse maintains the quality of client care through the ongoing processes of assessment, planning and implementation of nursing activities at the facility.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing care regimens for clients </li><li>Plans, coordinates and assesses client care. </li><li>Identifies client needs and provides direct nursing care based on the client's care plan. </li><li>Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement and evaluate client care. </li><li>Functions as preceptor to students, new hire candidates and other clinical team members/ staff when needed </li><li>Assists with Quality Assurance audits as assigned. </li><li>Identifies quality issues and opportunities for improving quality of care. </li><li>Documents client care with accurate and accessible records. </li><li>Administer prescribed medication to clients and keeps accurate records of all medication administered in accordance with law and Sun River Health policies and procedures </li><li>Utilizes standing orders in accordance with Sun River Health policies and procedures </li><li>Communicates with Pharmacy, Laboratories and other vendors as needed. </li><li>Assists with medication refills per Sun River Health protocols </li><li>Maintains professional competence through participation in staff development and educational program. </li><li>Provides clinical education and counseling to patients for health promotion and disease prevention to improve health outcomes </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minnimum Education Required: Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) </li><li>Minimum Work-Related Experience: 0-1 year </li><li>Preferred Work-Related Experience: 2-4 years </li></ul> <p>Minimum Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum Requirement: NYS RN Licensed and CPR/Infection Control Certification </li></ul> <p>About Sun River Health</p> <p>Sun River Health has a rich history of providing quality, affordable health care to communities in need.
