<p>Valley Asphalt is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of IT Applications and Integrations to lead our application portfolio strategy, development, implementation, and integration efforts. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director will be responsible for ensuring our business applications effectively support organizational goals, drive efficiency, and provide seamless user experience through robust and well-managed integrations. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex application and integration projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Strategic Leadership and Planning:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute the overall IT application and integration strategy in alignment with business objectives and the broader IT roadmap. </li><li>Provide thought leadership on application selection, architecture, and integration methodologies. </li><li>Anticipate future application and integration needs based on business growth and technological advancements. </li><li>Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to optimize application performance, scalability, and security. </li><li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective technological solutions. </li><li>Manage the application portfolio lifecycle, including upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning. </li><li>Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of integration specialists, and analysts. </li><li>Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. </li></ul> <p>Application Portfolio Management:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the entire lifecycle of enterprise applications, including selection, implementation, upgrades, maintenance, and retirement. </li><li>Establish and enforce application standards, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Ensure application compliance with relevant regulations and security standards. </li><li>Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement. </li><li>Lead application teams (internal and external) to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. </li><li>Manage vendor relationships for application software and services. </li></ul> <p>Integration Strategy and Execution:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement a comprehensive integration strategy to connect disparate systems and data sources effectively. </li><li>Lead the design, development, and deployment of integration solutions using various technologies and methodologies (e.g., APIs, middleware, ETL). </li><li>Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of integration processes. </li><li>Establish and maintain integration documentation and standards. </li><li>Explore and implement new integration technologies and approaches to enhance efficiency and agility. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding application and integration needs. </li><li>Collaborate with business analysts and other IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. </li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues. </li><li>Build strong relationships with key business partners to understand their strategic goals and how applications and integrations can support them. </li></ul> <p>Budget and Vendor Management:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage the budget for IT applications and integrations. </li><li>Evaluate and select software and service vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance. </li><li>Ensure cost-effectiveness and value for all application and integration investments. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing application, implementation, and integration teams. </li><li>Proven experience in developing and executing application and integration strategies aligned with business objectives. </li><li>Strong understanding of various enterprise application architectures (e.g., ERP, CRM, HCM) and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, ESB, ETL). </li><li>Experience with cloud-based applications and integration platforms (e.g., SaaS, iPaaS). </li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. </li><li>Strong project management skills and experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). </li><li>Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions. </li><li>Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Knowledge of relevant compliance and security standards. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with industry applications relevant to Construction business is a plus. </li><li>Certifications in relevant technologies or project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, ITIL). </li><li>Experience with cloud-based applications and integration platforms. </li></ul> <p>EOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP</p>
