<p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>Aviagen Turkeys, Inc. in Lewisburg WV seeks an electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in buildings throughout the company, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes. This position is full-time, hourly, with benefits, and reports to the Project Manager.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Installation: Install and connect electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures, including lighting, outlets, switches, and electrical panels. </li><li>Maintenance: Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, equipment, and components, to ensure proper function and safety. </li><li>Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including replacing wiring, fixtures, and components. </li><li>Compliance: Adhere to electrical codes, safety regulations, and building standards. </li><li>Troubleshooting: Use testing devices to identify and resolve electrical problems. </li><li>Documentation: Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and any modifications made to electrical systems. </li><li>Collaboration: Work with other tradespeople, such as plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors. </li><li>Planning: Plan and design electrical layouts and installations, often reading blueprints and schematics. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical theory, wiring, and safety regulations. </li><li>Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems. </li><li>Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, contractors, and other tradespeople. </li><li>Physical Skills: Ability to lift, bend, and climb. </li><li>Blueprint Reading: Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics. </li><li>Math Skills: Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to electrical systems. </li><li>Policy Awareness: Comply with Company Bio-Security Rules and Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, Animal Welfare Policies and all other Procedures and Standards. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment </li><li>Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training </li><li>Valid electrician license or certification </li><li>Experience with electrical systems and wiring </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics </li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities </li></ul>
