In short, We Enable Possibility?.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Underwrite large, highly technical risks within a diverse set of industries across a variety of products including Primary, Umbrella and Excess in accordance with Arch Insurance business standards and sound underwriting practices. Manage a book to achieve organization goals via the effective utilization of assigned resources in the interpretation, implementation and achievement of these business goals.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Underwrite large, highly technical risks within a diverse set of industries across a variety of products including Primary, Umbrella and Excess in accordance with Arch Insurance business standards and sound underwriting practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage a book of business to achieve organization goals via the effective utilization of assigned resources in the interpretation, implementation and achievement of these business goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned brokers, agents, policyholders and industry groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in marketplace initiatives to expand the overall Arch brand and the specific Business Unit reputation through interface with regional customers, brokers and other industry professionals.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete special projects as assigned by the RVP</p> </li><li> <p>Work independently as a member of a team while building a profitable book of business.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop strong relationships with brokers in order to successfully manage our business which will require travel to producer location.</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Superior interpersonal and leadership skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong customer service focus with the ability to effectively multi-task with limited direction</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills (written and oral)</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities</p> </li><li> <p>Prioritizing work, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelors' Degree with exposure to Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or Finance preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 5 years of P&C production underwriting experience</p> </li></ul> <p>For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.</p> <p>$92,000 - $125,000/year</p> <ul> <li>Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
