The Clerk II supports the school community by providing a welcoming environment and clerical support to staff members and students. This is a 12-month position with full benefits.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prior school office/clerical experience preferred. </li><li>Proficient computer skills in Google platform documents, Power School/Student Management system experience with electronic communications/newsletters preferred. </li><li>Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to perform responsibly, interact with staff and public in a self-reliant, courteous, and professional manner, and maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Duties: Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Student attendance records, letters, and school attendance reports </li><li>Transcripts and Residency: Including entries and withdrawals, records release & Residency inquiries </li><li>Assumes responsibility for data entry and retrieval. </li><li>Maintain files and records. </li><li>Update/Maintain master and school calendars and room reservations information </li><li>Create and maintain Power School forms and approvals </li><li>School Transportation Liaison. </li><li>General Assistance with phone, staff, and student support </li><li>Provide additional support as needed/requested </li></ul> <p>Please include a current resume and 3 letters of recommendation dated within the last 365 days.</p> <p>Excellent salary, benefits, and working conditions.</p> <p>Salary: per the WHFES bargaining agreement.</p> <p>Equity and Anti-Racism Vision</p> <p>We, the members of West Hartford Public Schools, dedicate ourselves</p> <p>to the pursuit of equity.
