You've led large, high-performing teams, implemented scalable systems, and partnered cross-functionally to drive smart business decisions. You have exceptional communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability for your work and your team's success.</p> <p>YOUR DAY-TO-DAY</p> <ul> <li>Lead a team of 30 accounting professionals, including managers and senior accountants. </li><li>Oversee the general ledger, revenue, receivables, payables, and corporate accounting functions. </li><li>Lead all core accounting processes, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and monthly close. </li><li>Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership. </li><li>Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity. </li><li>Act as a strategic finance partner-collaborating with leaders across operations, technology, and sales to provide actionable insights. </li><li>Mentor and develop the accounting team, cultivating a culture of excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement both within Finance and across the organization. </li><li>Own the full month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal and external reporting requirements. </li><li>Work closely with Technology and finance systems teams to maintain and enhance the company's revenue recognition and reporting systems. </li><li>Monitor and report on the accuracy of revenue data through analytical reviews, reconciliations, and variance analysis. </li><li>Review and approve accounting entries, account reconciliations, and key journal entries prepared by team members. </li><li>Ensure strong accounting controls and compliance with SOX requirements. </li><li>Plan, direct, and coordinate special projects across accounting, finance, and operations. </li><li>Partner with FP&A, Tax, Financial Reporting, and SOX compliance to ensure alignment of financial data across reporting functions. </li><li>Key leader to drive continuous finance transformation improvements within Workday. </li><li>Leverage technology to reduce manual processes and improve reporting accuracy and speed. </li><li>Provide executive-level insight and recommendations regarding accounting policies, internal controls, and financial results. </li><li>Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and regulatory filings, including financial statements, 10-Qs, and 10-Ks. </li><li>Collaborate strategic initiatives, integration efforts, and special transactions as needed. </li><li>Evaluate accounting processes for continuous improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of agreed-upon enhancements. </li><li>Serve as a key member of the Company's reserves committee and oversee reviews of critical financial measures across PROG Holdings. </li></ul> <p>YOU'LL BRING</p> <ul> <li>10-12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4-5 years in a leadership role within a public company environment. </li><li>CPA license required, with strong U.S. GAAP expertise and demonstrated ability to conduct technical research when needed. </li><li>Background in public accounting (Big 4 or top regional firm) </li><li>Experience leading financial statement preparation </li><li>Experience with SQL and Workday ERP systems preferred. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to senior executives and external stakeholders. </li><li>Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. </li><li>Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to manage close procedures under tight deadlines and ensure accuracy across multiple entities. </li><li>Deep understanding of complex lease accounting concepts, revenue recognition, and related compliance requirements. </li><li>Strong work ethic, adaptability, and a commitment to operational excellence. </li><li>Relationship-oriented with a collaborative style, attention to detail, and accountability mindset. </li><li>Aptitude for understanding data flows and related accounting/financial statement implications. </li><li>Tech-savvy with strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation </li><li>Full Health Benefits; Medical/Dental/Vision/Lif Insurance + Paid Parental Leave </li><li>Company Matched 401k </li><li>Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays + Paid Volunteer Hours </li><li>Employee Resource Groups (Black Inclusion Group, Women in Leadership, PRIDE, Adelante) </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Program </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Charitable Gift Matching </li></ul> <p>Progressive Leasing welcomes and encourages diversity in the workplace.
