<p>Now Hiring: Part-Time Passenger Transport Operator (CDL - Passenger Endorsement Required)</p> <p>Looking to put your CDL to work in a meaningful way? If you have a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and experience driving a 20-passenger bus, this could be the perfect part-time opportunity for you.</p> <p>In this role, you'll do more than just drive - you'll help connect our community. You'll provide safe, reliable transportation for participants in our Therapeutic and Senior Programs, as well as children and individuals with disabilities. You may also support transportation needs for City events, activities, and special functions.</p> <p>If you're dependable, safety-focused, and enjoy serving others, we'd love to have you on board.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate a van or bus on assigned routes and schedules to transport passengers to and from recreational and social activities, City tours, and special service agencies </li><li>Maintain accurate records of passenger attendance, behavior, mileage, and vehicle condition </li><li>Supervise passengers to ensure safe and orderly conduct; assist passengers on and off the vehicle as needed </li><li>Support program staff with supervision and activities between scheduled travel times </li><li>Provide excellent internal and external customer service in alignment with Department and City standards </li><li>Complete and submit passenger incident reports and vehicle accident reports as required </li><li>Maintain vehicle cleanliness, including exterior washing and interior trash removal and cleaning </li><li>Inspect vehicles for operational issues, report concerns to the supervisor, and refuel as needed </li><li>Serve as a courier for pick-ups and deliveries (mail, equipment, supplies) when necessary </li><li>Communicate effectively with passengers, guardians, and staff </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Requires a high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to the satisfactory completion of one year of a college education.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of three months of related, full-time equivalent experience.</p> <p>SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:</p> <ul> <li>Required a CDL Class B license with Passenger Certification to drive a bus </li><li>Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City's Driving Standards. </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Customer service experience</p> <p>Experienced in operating commercial passenger vehicles and buses.</p>
