A-State participates in E-Verify.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Provides academic assistance an educational development to promote student success for current and prospective students. This includes pre-professional semester schedule planning, scheduling of shadowing experiences, and answering questions about the program during advising or recruiting events.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides academic advising to students:</p> </li><li> <p>International Program requirements and advise accordingly</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor progress towards graduation dates</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules student advising meetings in a timely fashion</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates changes of major, advising hold lifts, and advisor identification through internet Native Banner for all majors</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate student records</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately advises students according to degree requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with the University Advising Center</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains good rapport with all student advisors</p> </li><li> <p>Recruits and promotes programs by participating in:</p> </li><li> <p>Area career and academic fairs</p> </li><li> <p>Ambassador Program</p> </li><li> <p>BCoSM Clubs</p> </li><li> <p>STEM Den - Living Learning Community (LLC)</p> </li><li> <p>Honors College Days</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with New Student Registration Days and Preview Days</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in retention efforts</p> </li><li> <p>Serve on appropriate campus advisory committees</p> </li><li> <p>Corresponds with all student services areas across campus and works fluidly with each department as needed in regards to the needs of student advisors</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>Must possess good written and verbal communication skills</p> <p>Proficient with technology</p> <p>Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines</p> <p>General Days/Hours:</p> <p>Monday - Friday</p> <p>8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Additional hours as requested and/or needed</p> <p>Regular and reliable attendance</p> <p>Other:</p> <p>Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M.
