Examine blood flow, valve function and chamber size to determine the overall condition of the heart. Assist physicians in the Cath lab and operating room. Ensure the delivery of world-class patient care by placing a strong emphasis on quality and education.</p> <p>Specialty areas include: Transthoracic echocardiography on state-of-the-art equipment. 3D imaging LVAD assessments. Complex scans on adult congenital, research trials and structural heart</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works PRN| Mon-Fri| 8:00am-4:30pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform routine and complex studies and assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in sonography or vascular technology</p> </li><li> <p>OR graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program (18-month program) OR two years of full-time echo experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>New hires must obtain the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers</p> </li><li> <p>OR the Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from Cardiac Credentialing International within one year of hire date</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of m-mode, 2D and doppler calculations and cardiac hemodynamics</p> </li><li> <p>Familiar with computers and can learn related programs</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; must lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to assist with transport of patients, i.e., pushing beds, stretchers and wheelchairs.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $46.00</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $46.00</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
