<p>Fallbrook Union High School District</p> <p>FALLBROOK UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT</p> <p>HEALTH SERVICES TECHNICIAN</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>Under general supervision, maintains necessary health records, assists with health services and medical screening of students, disseminates health information, provides routine first aid emergency treatment and performs related duties as assigned.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS – Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the preparation of a variety of examinations pertaining to the health appraisal of students. </li><li>Records health appraisal history and the results of examinations. </li><li>Reviews student immunization history and up dates required reports. </li><li>May assist with examinations and refer students diagnosed as having medical problems to appropriate health service persons or groups. </li><li>Renders first aid treatment to injured and ill students. </li><li>Performs routine evaluation of student illness and injury situations and determines the need for emergency, supervisory, or administrative assistance. </li><li>May give medication prescribed specifically for students by medical authority. </li><li>Contacts parents or other responsible persons regarding ill or injured students. </li><li>Maintains a variety of student records and records pertaining to the health office activities. </li><li>Maintains health office supplies and orders supplies as necessary. </li><li>Performs routine clerical tasks associated with the school health office and other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Knowledge of: Routine record keeping and office procedures, health and safety regulations, CPR and other emergency health procedures and first aid techniques.</p> <p>Ability to follow applicable policies and procedures related to student health matters, establish and maintain files, records, reports and referrals, administer first aid and type proficiently.</p> <p>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Have any combination of formal courses equivalent to two years of college in nursing, physiology or related health care field, two years of nursing experience or any combination of training/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.</p> <p>License:</p> <p>Possession of a First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and valid California Driver’s License.</p> <p>Working conditions: Office/School environment</p> <p>Supervisor: Principal</p> <p>Salary: Range 13</p> <p>Overtime Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>License: Possession of a First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and valid California Driver's License and Nursing License Preferred.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS -
