<p>General Summary of Duties:</p> <p>Food Runners will assist Servers with expo and food running to guest tables while providing warm and energetic service.</p> <p>Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of all menu items, restaurant, and general hotel information </li><li>Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely, warm, and energetic manner </li><li>Ensure service area is clean and organized </li><li>Maintain tables and buffet during guest dining and ensure swift reset upon guest departure </li><li>Deliver food to guest tables </li><li>Read kitchen tickets and match them to dishes completed by the kitchen staff </li><li>Assist with set-up and break down of breakfast buffet </li><li>Perform side work during downtime; such as rolling silverware, restocking condiments, and sweeping floor </li><li>Ensure general cleanliness of work area in accordance with all health and safety standards </li><li>Perform additional duties and projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to speak, read, write and understand English </li><li>Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment </li><li>Knowledge of upscale food and beverage </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li></ul> <p>Typical Physical / Mental Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time </li><li>Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch </li><li>Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push </li><li>Must have good near and far vision </li><li>Must be able to hear, talk, smell </li></ul>
