<p>DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK</p> <p>RATE OF PAY: $17.12 per hour</p> <p>Location: Ford Community and Performing Arts Center & locations around City of Dearborn</p> <p>Hours of Work: Part time. Scheduling is based upon events and needs of the department.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>An employee in this classification works on a part-time basis, providing support for the successful operation of events and activities at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center and other locations throughout the City of Dearborn. Duties include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Loading and unloading of stage, audio visual, lighting and event equipment from city vehicles; client and vendor vehicles. </li><li>Assist in the setup, operation and strike of staging, audio, video, lighting, rigging, and event equipment. </li><li>Part of a team that provides, behind the scenes, support to internal and external clients, in the successful operation of their event. </li><li>Assist in general maintenance of stage, scene shop and storage areas </li><li>May be required to drive city vehicles to deliver supplies and equipment to various locations. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of technical theatre and live event operations. </li><li>Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Hours vary as scheduled. Some shifts may be 10+ hours. </li><li>Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks without continued supervision </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients. </li><li>Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs </li><li>Ability to stand and be physically active for long periods of time. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Experience and Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must have 1-2 years previous experience in live events or technical theatre. </li><li>Personal interest in live event and technical theatre operations. </li><li>Knowledge of theatrical lighting, audio, video, and rigging systems a plus. </li><li>Knowledge and ability to use basic manual and power shop tools. </li></ul> <p>Licensing Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Criminal history check, drug screen and physical </li><li>Valid State of Michigan driver's license </li></ul>
