This role includes developing age-appropriate curriculum, ensuring health and safety compliance, and fostering strong communication with families. The Lead Teacher serves as a role model for assistant teachers and works collaboratively with the center leadership to promote high-quality early childhood education.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Classroom Leadership:</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Create a warm, responsive, and respectful classroom environment. <p></p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Guide and support assistant teachers in daily routines and interactions. <p></p> </li><li></li><li> <p>Infant Care:</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consistent, nurturing care including feeding, diapering, napping, and individualized attention.</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate progress to parents. <p></p> </li><li></li><li> <p>Health & Safety:</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom in accordance with licensing regulations and center policies.</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including diapering, sanitizing, and safe sleep practices. <p></p> </li><li></li><li> <p>Family Engagement:</p> </li><li> <p>Build strong relationships with families through daily communication, conferences, and progress updates.</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Address parent concerns with professionalism and empathy. <p></p> </li><li></li><li> <p>Team Collaboration:</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a mentor and leader within the classroom team.</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and center events. <p></p> </li><li></li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) credential; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. </li><li>At least 1-2 years of experience in an infant classroom. </li><li>Strong understanding of infant development and early learning principles. </li><li>CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). </li><li>Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with infant care. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent time management and organizational abilities </li><li>Team player with a collaborative mindset </li><li>Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth </li></ul>
