<p>Kennedy Jenks is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our team in Southern California. This role is ideal for an individual skilled in managing multiple tasks and deadlines while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. You will be involved in a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design and Analysis: Develop detailed designs, including drawings, specifications, and calculations for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Manage technical tasks including planning, design, and construction support for civil infrastructure projects. </li><li>Project Management: Support larger projects or lead smaller projects or components, coordinating with the Project Manager, team members, and sub-consultants. Ensure the timely completion of tasks and assist in managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. </li><li>Technical Support: Provide expert support for multi-disciplinary teams in planning and executing infrastructure projects, including pipelines, tanks/reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment facilities. Understand and apply industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. </li><li>Field Work: Conduct site inspections and field measurements. Engage in field activities, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis. </li><li>Documentation and Coordination: Prepare engineering documents and contract documents, including construction specifications and plans. Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, and prepare site observation reports. </li><li>Communication and Collaboration: Assist in preparing client presentations and maintaining client communication. Ensure compatibility with design intent by coordinating with other disciplines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline required. Master's degree preferred. </li><li>5+ years of relevant experience in the planning, design, and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. </li><li>Broad understanding of municipal engineering, site development design, construction methods, and design and construction codes. </li><li>California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or the ability to obtain California PE within 6 months of hire. </li></ul> <p>Why Kennedy Jenks?</p> <p>We support a healthy work-life balance and utilize a hybrid model of home and office work to empower our team members to thrive and achieve their full potential.</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>This position offers a salary range from $105,000 to $170,000, which may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k, bonus opportunities, tuition reimbursement, professional registration support, a competitive PTO and holiday plan, and other benefits and programs.</p> <p>#LI-Hybrid</p>
