This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate data collection to support both clinical and financial outcomes.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate patient flow from entry to destination in a timely and professional manner</p> </li><li> <p>Collect and verify financial and demographic information to ensure accurate records</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule appointments and interview patients for relevant medical information</p> </li><li> <p>Explain department and hospital policies, including charges</p> </li><li> <p>Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems</p> </li><li> <p>Collect payments and answer incoming calls</p> </li><li> <p>Direct patients and visitors appropriately</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., front desk, billing, scheduling)</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to learn and apply ICD-10 and CPT medical coding</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and organizational skills</p> </li></ul>
