We are always seeking great people who aren't just searching for a job but looking to make a difference.</p> <p>Seeking a PRN Surgical Technician who will be responsible for assisting the surgeon and nurse in rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the center in accordance with established procedures.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in preparing the operating room for the planned procedure. </li><li>Assists with maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies. </li><li>Sets up sterile operating field with instruments and supplies necessary for that procedure; arranges instruments, sutures, drapes, and supplies per AORN standards. </li><li>Observes strict aseptic technique throughout the entire procedure and report break-in technique to the circulating nurse and the surgeon. </li><li>Passes instruments, supplies, and sutures to the surgeon and assistants as needed and in such a manner so that their attention is not diverted from the operative field. </li><li>Sees that all instruments, needles, sponges, and other supplies are removed from the operative field. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>At least two years of related work experience in the operating room is required. </li><li>Certification is a plus! </li></ul>
