The trailblazer of the agency business, CAA was the first to build a sports business, create an investment bank, launch a venture fund, found technology start-up companies, establish a philanthropic arm, build a business in China, and form a brand marketing services division, among other innovations.</p> <p>The Department</p> <p>The CAA Brand Consulting - Sr. Account Manager - Sports Talent will play a key role in one of our largest Brand Consulting clients, a technology services company. The Sr. Account Manager will co- lead across all Sports Talent including the day-to-day management of talent partnership across the brand's sponsorship portfolio and is responsible for linking Talent strategy alongside broader Sports & Entertainment strategy. The candidate will interface day to day with the client and will work cross functionally with athlete representation, internal account team, internal/external vendors, and agencies. Lead direct client relationships and connect the internal account leads.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead across all sports talent and influencer partnerships</p> </li><li> <p>Ongoing Talent relationship and partnership management</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure talent program consistency with Entertainment Talent counterpart</p> </li><li> <p>Main point of contact for client for assigned projects focused on talent partnerships within sports vertical</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and deliver talent approach and informing strategy based off client briefs and new initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Manages multiple projects and budgets autonomously</p> </li><li> <p>Lead development of concepts & facilitate creative approval process for talent</p> </li><li> <p>Leads client calls and provides expert opinions</p> </li><li> <p>Leads client presentation for projects</p> </li><li> <p>Manages budget development, tracking & reconciling</p> </li><li> <p>Day to day management of existing talent partnerships including communication directly with talent representation, developing talent activation plans, organization of project plans and asset tracking documents</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with recommendation, negotiation and management of talent deals</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee & facilitate the creative development process of marketing materials for talent, experiential assets and event-related creative (includes briefing designers & obtaining internal & client approvals)</p> </li><li> <p>Work with other team functions (e.g. Creative, Experiential, Social Impact, Insights / trends, etc.) to ensure goals and objectives are met</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and deliver compelling written and verbal communications</p> </li><li> <p>Create presentations for key meetings internally and externally</p> </li><li> <p>Track activation budgets with accountability for reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Develop relationships across CAA and with external partners to find and promote new opportunities to client</p> </li><li> <p>Manage internal/support team members</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>BA or BS strongly preferred or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>5-7+ years of relevant experience</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel and be onsite at events</p> </li><li> <p>Strong industry connectivity - established relationships within sports and entertainment industry - specifically athlete representation</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate highest level of critical thinking with focus on proactiveness and attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise in managing projects and budgets</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent presentation skills</p> </li><li> <p>· Previous experience with managing and developing junior staff members</p> </li><li> <p>· Project management expertise</p> </li><li> <p>· Sustain relationships with clients and grow the business</p> </li><li> <p>· Understanding of the client's industry and latest developments</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous experience at a Sports Agency, League or Brand in leading Talent-specific programming</p> </li><li> <p>Prior knowledge/experience with Baseball, Collegiate sports talent programming preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Location</p> <p>The Brand Consulting department offers a flexible work schedule and requires three days per week on-site at our Los Angeles or New York office.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $103,000 - $125,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
