<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Wisconsin Historical Society has recently developed a centralized ticketing office (Box Office) as part of its values to better Embrace a Spirit of Service, Exceed Expectations and Think Big and Grow with Purpose. The Box Office Customer Service Representative would support these values through their excellent customer service to patrons via phone and email communication, creation and support of Society events and ticket sales in the ticketing system and troubleshooting event related issues.</p> <p>The Wisconsin Historical Society uses a ticketing platform, ACME Ticketing, to support numerous events across the organization. This role will assist and support the continuing building and development of the Society's programming and events across many of our departments and divisions.</p> <p>This is a year-round Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and limited to 1,039 hours. This position will be part time and average 20 hours per week mainly during weekdays and standard business hours.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor phone calls and box office email address to assist customers with inquiries and purchasing across WHS. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of current WHS events and experiences for sale through the online store and sold directly through the site/location. </li><li>Ascertain and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and/or requests in a courteous and timely manner with guidance from supervisor as needed. </li><li>Understand and communicate purchasing policies to customers. </li><li>Collect complete and accurate data from customers to correctly process payments and reconcile transactions. </li><li>Support the creation of tickets for events across WHS spaces to ensure accurate attendance data. Support general ticketing monitoring. </li><li>Configure event templates and related buildout in ACME Ticketing system. </li><li>Support ACME Ticketing Users with troubleshooting needs. </li><li>Support ticket system onboarding for new users. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Pay is $17.00 per hour with a weekend differential of 80 cents per hour. This classification is in schedule and class 02-11.</p> <p>Please note this is a Limited Term Employment position so it does not include paid time off or benefits upon hire.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>A criminal background check will be conducted by WHS prior to an offer of employment to determine if the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job.</p> <p>This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and limited to 1,039 hours. This position will be part time and average 20 hours per week.</p> <p>Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions.</p> <p>Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.</p> <p>WHS does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>This position is fully remote.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills. </li><li>Detail-oriented with an ability to work efficiently. </li><li>Ability to communicate and interact professionally and pleasantly with customers and other staff. </li><li>Ability to learn and implement required WHS values and policies. </li><li>Excellent computer skills and digital literacy, including a strong understanding of MS Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook. </li><li>Knowledge of e-commerce, Point of Sales systems, and/or ticketing systems preferred. Specific knowledge of ACME Ticketing a plus. </li><li>Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures and fiscal responsibility, including PCI compliance. </li><li>Skills in basic arithmetic (math). </li><li>Willingness to work flexibly.
