<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position function within the Project Development section of the Southeast Region performing a variety of duties on transportation improvement projects in both the construction and design phases. The position contributes to a team by performing independently a high degree of specialized engineering duties as a construction leader and/or design leader on larger projects including complex and Mega projects. The positions may coach other team members on that specialty.</p> <p>The essential functions of this job is to lead or assist in constructing and designing highway improvement projects. This requires reading and math comprehension and technical writing skills; working outside in all seasons including adverse weather conditions; and work in high volume urban and rural traffic conditions. The position will require travel to project sites within the Region to conduct project field reviews, meet with property owners, or meet with local municipalities.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The senior level position is in schedule-range (14-14) with an annual salary of $64,480-$74,880.</p> <p>The advanced level position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $68,640-$91,520.</p> <p>Both positions offer excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>This state agency does not sponsor work visas.
