We are an equal opportunity employer; no information obtained during the recruitment/selection process is intended for any discriminatory purposes.</p> <p>Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule</p> <p>Grade: 208</p> <p>Salary: $45,281 - $74,198 Annually (Dependent on Qualifications)</p> <p>Department: Finance</p> <p>E-mail: MelissaM2@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain governmental funds and special revenue funds including reconciliations, preparation of monthly and adjusting journal entries. </li><li>Funds include General Fund and, other Governmental Special Revenue funds as assigned. </li><li>Prepare Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), financial statements, workpapers, and statistical tables. </li><li>Prepare monthly sales tax returns and quarterly court fee returns. </li><li>Handle multiple reporting requirements in addition to CAFR. </li><li>Reconciliation of a large variety of accounts with many different sources of transactions. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience </li><li>Requires ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data using multiple resources including query in different software applications, Excel and Access. Must be able to come up with the logic and methods to do this analysis efficiently. </li><li>Requires ability to research past financial transactions, ability to prepare workpapers that present information clearly and logically, ability to design new business processes and new reconciliation methods as computer systems and circumstances change. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - TMRS is a required retirement plan for all full-time employees.
